Our client, a growing family, asked to design the renovation of a barn previously used as a garage in Stone Ridge, NY, and to turn it into a modern and comfortable guest house.
The trickiest part was conceiving a renovation happening entirely from the interior of the building to preserve the existing, beautifully aged wood siding. With the help of the contractor, we developed a series of details that allowed us to properly waterproof, insulate and make the house airtight, all from within.
