IInnospring and Datayes office is located in an office building in Shanghai. Previously the space comprised small sized rented offices that were set up in a ring formation. Multi-international companies are moving in and utilizing the open office space. The design provides a flexible layout: a multi-function serviced hall for meeting, events, breaks and co-working space. All the different functional spaces connect with each other and form a funny and vibrant working atmosphere, where new idea and inspiration can emerge and be built upon.
For a cutting-edge innovative technology company, the design employs “fashionable yuppie” as a design source. Design elements, through subversive space organization and rich sense of future science and technology, create a unique working space. The reception area is an angular three-dimensional block with decorative surface materials, which make the space wild, intractable and full of vitality. In the public space, design elements including polygon and radiation through the use of different materials emphasize the relationship and extend the space. Within this open office space, employee positions can be freely organized according to different uses.
Open office layout creates no barriers, the openness promotes user communications, and very often, the higher frequency of interactions between coworkers equals the higher efficiency of work productivity.
In terms of spatial design, open office layout is not only the most economical, but the most flexible in arrangements and also creates the most spacious feeling. Most creative industries provide unbeatable benefits to the employees, and unconventional work spaces are just one of those. Fully loaded pantry that could beat any outside bars, brainstorming corners that are actually fun to be in and meeting rooms that are more comfortable than your own living room. Most of the time, the most innovative ideas are often created in these types of space.
