Produced for China Yintai Group, the project is a combined effort by the designers of ‘Yintai Yusheng’ Company and ‘Line Friends Images’ of Korea. The project is located in Beijing CBD Yintai Center in01 shopping mall, opened its doors in July 2017 and more than 100.000 people enjoyed the space throughout the last months. The space is dedicated to become a leading brand for an indoor children play-zone that combines a high-end, safe and healthy environment for kids to have fun.
The main topic of the space is forest and ocean. Inspired by a track of a bouncing ball, the design team used curves and arches to create vivid and lovely forms. To achieve a combination of a clean, but happy place for kids, a significant focus was on the color and material selection. White, massive elements are put in contrast with bright and strong colors to create an appealing effect. The white areas are put in combination with a high-end wood flooring and pure cotton toys, which create a haptic feeling and sense of nature for the play-zone. In order to create a safe environment for the children, all sharp and pointy details are covered by smooth and soft elements.
The designers of ‘Yintai Yusheng' in association with ‘Line Friends Images’ emphasize on the concept of “enjoy the world under your feet” to provide a sense of adventure to the visitors. Through a floating net, kids are elevated to a second level and they are offered a larger, transparent space to enjoy the play-zone.
