A fabulous coastal home in the seaside village of AngleseaThe design of the dwelling first involved melding a brief for a substantial home onto a reasonably narrow lot that had a number of stands of eucalyptus viminalis growing on it, and second, to capture extensive coastal views from as many rooms as possible. The form of the house is a pair of offset forms, one clad in timber boards left to weather grey enclosing the sleeping wing. The other form, a largely glazed area over two levels enclosing the living areas and capturing ocean views and tangible connections into the tree tops.In 2008 the house was a shortlisted finalist (Top 8 houses) in the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, Victorian Residential New category
