Foster Lomas won a competition to create an Information Pavilion for an Urban Splash residential development in Liverpool. The concept for the Infobox is inspired by low tech prismatic advertising hoardings that display three images on a single facade, creating a high impact for the public. Three rows of prisms, constructed from plywood and acrylic form a 9.5mx9.5mx9.5m cube with a glass skin behind. Low and high level prisms can be turned by hand to allow for public interaction.The interior of the Pavilion is composed of modular furniture and display elements, with a large 5mx4m model of the development being a main focus. The roof provides a viewing platform with panoramic views across the development site.
