• This weekend villa is situated in the popular second home destination of Lonavala. The villa is crafted with a clear and minimal approach.
• The villa is a example of contemporary South Asian modern style of design. It is a design that reflects straight lines with lots of transparency through glass.
• The ground floor houses the hall, dining, decks on both sides with attached raised garden
• On the rear deck side. The first floor has the master bedroom with attached toilet and balcony and a children’s room. The terrace has a theatre room, an open air Jacuzzi and a pantry that doubles up as a bar.
• The colour of the building has been kept pristine white with few offsets of pale grey as the massing of the villa needed to stand out. The furniture is minimalist and wooden as far as possible. Steel and glass has not been used so as not to make the villa look like an urban home design.
• Very simple materials like basalt, kotha, flamed granite has been used in the landscape. The trees are strategically located to ensure privacy and yet a very modern aesthetic line in landscape.
• The villa is a relaxed soothing second – home that is uncluttered and minimalistic.
