Indigo Place is a four-story housing project near the University of Oregon. It contains six two-story units,
arranged by stacking three five-bedroom units over three four-bedroom units.
Key features include balconies, high ceilings and durable finishes, intended to
create a desirable, upscale, urban-living experience for students.
The highly articulated exterior is clad with durable,
low-maintenance materials that use their unique color and texture to form a
balanced composition. With amenities such as private balconies and entrances,
vaulted ceilings, and skillfully crafted public spaces flooded with natural
light, Indigo Place
is an excellent example of a high-density infill housing project that serves as
a local model for sustainable multi-family housing.
Located on a corner lot, the building has large windows that
allow daylight to penetrate deep into all of the units, minimizing the need for
electric lighting and providing a strong connection to the outdoors. Indigo
Place has achieved the Silver Level in the Earth Advantage Program,
administered locally by the Eugene Water and Electric Board. Earth Advantage is
a rigorous program that ensures that buildings are built with rapidly
renewable, recycled and recyclable materials, run efficiently, and do not
release harmful gasses to inhabitants.
