Located at Mao Tse Tung Avenue, the building is born out of the necessity for new housing at a prime location in the city of Maputo.
The implantation permitted to turn the habitations to one of the city best views. A rule of composition was developed to comprehend an adequate building identity for the city, and the necessities of the city population.
A major architectonic aspect of the building is the reinterpretation of a particular element from the local buildings of the 50’s - the balconies with sun blocking elements. This reinterpretation took this elements to a new level, which, in association with its reorientation and varied dimensions, compose the façade, giving birth to a sculptured and unique image.
