Inamo, a revolutionary pan-Asian bar and restaurant in the heart of London's Soho, presents a whole new concept in west end dining. At Inamo the customer is in control: he or she can order food and drinks whenever they want, thanks to interactive menus projected onto their tabletop. Each table in the 60-cover restaurant has its own individual projector, which also allows customers to alter the ambience of their table, play games and even access local information and services, such as booking a cab. There’s also a 70-capacity bar downstairs offering a lively cocktail environment. For the designers, it was an ambitious project and a tricky concept to get right. Great attention was paid to lighting to ensure that the restaurant would have the correct mood at all hours of the day and night.Blacksheep’s design also counterbalances the restaurant's technological aspects by creating a sensuous, social space with a strong personality, inspired by kaleidoscopes, origami and traditional Asian patterns.
