Ihlseng Cottage is a small house on Penn State's campus that houses the Institute for the Arts and Humanities, but the institute has out grown the current cottage. By stretching and pulling the existing walls where more space was needed, it creates new areas for expansion. By "exploding" the walls away from the cottage and capturing the new spaces in glass, it creates interior areas that are still recognizable as being outside the cottage.
