The project is accenting all the existing, and making this location a place where modern and traditional meet, both at their best, while creating the story about past, development and future in romantic way, pointing the spot of circulation as place where wild roses grow, and symbolizing the first ferry docked in the center of the area defined by tradition, education, religion and culture.
Net of paths is a product of creating open views towards the elements of heritage:
• St. Patrick Cathedral;
• Roman Catholic Diocese;
• Our Lady of Mercy College;
• Obelisk in Prince Alfred’s Park
• Lennox Bridge.
Buildings rise from the land while accenting directions, providing attractive views, inside and outside functions, connecting them, and making the Rose Flower Building the only emerging element among the landscape objects defined as lit silhouettes in Northern sky.
Rose Flower Building
is residential sculptural building with retail /accenting the central lane and providing the inner square with direct view towards the Cathedral, Diocese, and College/. All apartments are oriented to River, with terraces on South side.
Weir Garden Terraces
represent landscape organized pattern with water tanks designed to receive water during floods, with filters, green gardens and pedestrian paths as continuation of lane lines. The bridge above is used for construction that will be providing free water fall.
Riverside Theatre
Is block of cultural buildings, with green roofs, designed to be used for different purposes during different parts of the day and year, accenting views and making the communications more dynamic, leading people to upper level, and bringing them to river.
