A small office space on a highrise office tower in central Jakarta. The brief was to establish a space to accomodate 1 reception area, 1 main office, a workstation area of 4 staff, 1 meeting room, 1 dry pantry, 1 waiting/lounge area. A single (short) band of window is the only source of natural lighting to the entire space, and this is enclosed to the main office. Minimum use of fluorescent lighting and strategic use of hidden and spot lighting is important to create a suitable mood for daily grind of work.Other than the main office, open plan layout is used to make use the most of the tight space. Meeting room is used as an aperture to create division between reception and the work areas.
