Ice Stage"It is time for the final curtain fall"
The cinema at pushkin square gets a 'final curtain'. A
curtain with an outstanding structure is wrapping the cinema as well as its
surrounding balcony and turns it into a stage on the top of pushkin park.
The gallery becomes an integrated entertainment zone with
enough space for coffee bars, exhibitions, festivities and movie premieres and
gives the annual Moscow International Film Festival a new stage.
The curtain, not just used as an element of the stage, deals
with its outstanding structure and technological refinement also with the rough
russian climate. Our concept of water filled tubes wrapping the building and creating
a second skin, that can deal with the different climate extremes, turns the
curtain into a high tech and ecological valuable facade.
