|CONCEPT|
Amongst the many illuminated stand the one- the one dark and daring as the night to be explored, exposed and discovered. Here stands a cavern- as night as the light outside - as bright as the dark around. To be noticed in the ‘hurry to and from’ all around the mall. A space, a dimension over the ground - way above but with a sensation of deep below under the ground to ‘seek the forgotten gold’. As the ‘tourists’ of the mall keep walking seeking an aim to stop by, to perceive the objects of desire, this space beholds a dimension of depth and darkness to highlight the glittering objects.

|PROJECT|
In this project termed – IC04, or as the client call themselves “Precious Things” is a search of the ‘precious’ as the lore of J.R.R Tolkien’s middle earth goes – IC04 was visualized as a cavern enchanted with dimensions and depth constructed of planes - horizontal planes, surfaces, steppes displaying objects in the brushed carved and rugged darkness of the grey cave around. A singular experience highlighting one’s presence, to what is sought and who seeks it was created.

|FORM|
A depth perceived yet unacknowledged by the ‘tourist’ but to a trained eye the experience is a totality felt by the monolithic surfaces and space around. The cavern is worked out in planes and angular surfaces of dark finish to highlight the objects on display. Providing a stone finished surfaces create a unique depth and height. The concentric planes maintain the stability of the cavern and unfold the experience via walking path created around the speleothem formations- in this case the steppes.
