A three-dimensional axonometric drawing of a machine component was analyzed. Plans, sections and elevations were derived from the drawing, Using a selection of these drawings and a range of compositional systems, a hybrid drawing was then created. The hybrid was further manipulated through a series of rotations to created a second hybrid, the resultant drawing. A complete deviation from the original, yet full of formal echoes.
