This home was a complete remodel and soft finishes installation in an 11,000 sqft traditional home in Piney Point, Houston. The aim was to remodel this home in a forward-thinking manner and take advantage of the classic beauty of its original architecture, by redesigning it with a Modern/ European design aesthetic in mind, to update it to the times of today. To make this remodel extra special, we hired an expert in Vastu Shastra, an Indian system of architecture similar to Feng Shui. This expert was involved in every aspect of the house aiming to improve the prosperity and energy flow of the home. By utilizing this expert, we were able to harmonize the flow of energy throughout the house. In reference to materials, we used larger sized tile throughout the main common areas to avoid multiple grout lines for a cleaner look and incorporated beautiful, synthetic stone surfaces for all the counters. We kept all the traditional moldings and restored them with a fresh coat of white paint. The kitchen was relocated and re-configured for better function and equipped with state-of-the-art smart appliances as well as sleek modern cabinetry. We also installed a smart system throughout the house that helped the functionality of the design. To further add to the international-inspired design aesthetic, we placed European modern furniture throughout the home to display the simple fact that traditional design can be revamped to be perceived as a design of today.
