Huuuge is a video game development and publishing company with a massive international audience. They empower billions of people to connect and play every single day. With so much responsibility and a need for expansion, Huuuge came to Switchup for an office that kept their spirit of connected play present.
Game design is a mix of art and coding, it’s a practice that is equally creative and technical. Switchup started by designing a space that perfectly encapsulated both aspects of game development. A beautiful 3,500m2 space on 2 Derech Hashalom St. Tel-Aviv was selected for this project, proving to be exactly what Switchup needed to bring Huuuge’s perfect office to life.
To capture the organized feeling needed for a technical environment, the office was designed to be primarily geometric. This is expressed through the structure and arrangement of the space, as well as the offices and patterns along the floor.
Then to inspire creativity amongst the employees, the geometric layout was embellished with artwork and games. The main section of the office is a gaming area, complete with a painted wall, an arcade machine, ping pong, a TV, and expressive pieces of furniture.
The open interior along with the plethora of windows made the inside of the office nearly as bright as the outside. Plus, the outdoor terrace allowed people to feel invited to the outdoors. Plants were placed around the office and on the terrace, and we chose to leave parts of the concrete exposed to emphasize the feeling of being outside and liberated.
The structure of the office, infused with creative elements, gave this office the exact type of excitement that Switchup was aiming for. When a company is working diligently to bring joy and connection to an ever-growing market, the employees are going to need a workspace that constantly stimulates this vision. The Switchup team is happy to report that this office is going to do exactly that.
