The Huntsville Radiation Oncology Clinic, operated by Genesis Medical Group, was designed by BB&W Architects to bring a full-service outpatient oncology clinic to serve Huntsville and the surrounding areas. This facility was formerly an outpatient imaging center which was long abandoned over the years. The project revitalizes the facility with an interior renovation of the existing 5,500 SF and the addition of 1,700 SF to accommodate a linear accelerator vault. New imaging and treatment equipment (Varian High Energy Clinic and GE Discovery RT computerized tomography), along with new mechanical systems, electrical circuiting, and interior finishes are included.
The new facility includes the linear accelerator vault and control area, CT-Room, Dosimetry, Pharmacy, Infusion Suite, Chemo. Mixing and Hood Rooms, and other Ancillary Support spaces. Space for a future MRI room was also provided.
