The project started with the need to create a commercial space that reflects the design and innovation of Hunter Douglas as leader in the production and commercialization of blinds. Another important objective of this project was to create a prototype-shop that can be replicated easily in other places.
RIMA arquitectura team defined with the client the main ideas and specifications needed for the space and transfer them to a 124 sq m space in a project where image and productivity are in perfect balance. The project suggested a clean space, free of color saturations or finishes to make sure the brand products stand out and are the main element in an ambiance where design simplicity envelopes and integrates the furniture and lighting.
The project was developed in 2 levels. The showroom was located on the main floor where the main brand blinds are on display along with a big working table and desks for customer service. In the mezzanine an informal room for presentations and meetings was instaled to thereby ensure a dynamic and highly efficient operation.
The general lighting fills the whole area taking advantage of double height to place decorative lighting fixtures to give accents to different products. Indirect lighting was used in the showroom in combination with spot lighting for the working areas.
Working with the client and the great experience that RIMA has in the creation of commercial space resulted in a large and comfortable project where a warm atmosphere welcomes users and customers, integrating the operation and attention to customers in one space.
