Situation
The library is an important cornerstone of a large urban project with housing and entertainment facilities.
Target
Create an entertaining library that matches and competes with its and (movie) theater neighbors.
Action
Looking from outside to the library, it will primarily be seen as a ceiling. So focus on that. Add light, accents and color to it to create a place of happy astonishment. Divide the library in a densified area and an open part to encourage events.
Result
An exciting library interior that looks like everything but a traditional library. A beautiful lit ceiling is as much a money saver as it is a spacious treasure, as it connects the library with next door entertainment facilities.
