In collaboration with Jolanda Branderhorst, the development of the interior concept and design, as well as the furnishing and styling for "Huis Roodenburch".
The 600 square metres project contains a bar, a restaurant and a small grocery store in a beautiful stately monumental building in the historic centre of Dordrecht, the Netherlands.
The rich history of the building goes back to the Middle Ages and the variety in previous use has been one of the main inspirations for the interior. The same goes for the enormous contrast between the dark, low cellars and light and spacial first floor.
The former wine cellars accommodate a small grocery store, a pastry kitchen and a café. The first floor, previously housing a printing office, accommodates the restaurant.
Special attention was given to the small details such as embroidered couches and pillows, which are handcrafted by "Wereldwijven"; a social project by women from various cultural backgrounds.
