Solution
Hudson Rouge is a luxury brand focused ad agency under the umbrella of a large multinational advertising and public relations company. With an emphasis on branding, collaboration and critical strategic design, M Moser Associates developed a design to reflect the agency’s progressive, out-of-the-box creative aspirations, as well as luxury brand focused clientele.
The full floor penthouse office features an open plan studio with a robust brand identity based upon honesty, craft and the integrity of materials. The planning allows maximum daylight penetration into the open studio through unobstructed views to the North, South and West. The open plan studio design is focused around formal, informal and casual collaboration areas that are essential to support ideation and visioning. Circulation areas along the interior and perimeter create a “promenade” that allows staff and guest to easily traverse through the landscape of open collaboration settings, lounge areas and meeting rooms while allowing work to go on undisturbed.
A “collaboration alley” runs through the center of the space and creates a connecting common area for the staff. This alley concept is reinforced architecturally by a ceiling element constructed of reclaimed wood and glass pendant lights that run the length of the collaboration alley.
The finish and furniture selections intentionally play on a tension between a more industrial look and feel and references to a sense of luxury. Finishes such as various wood species, pristine poured flooring and muted accent colors are found throughout the space. Details in the form of polished metal lighting fixtures and select vintage furniture selections provide a polished and specific style to the decor.
The design also includes a private roof garden which provides 360 degree views of the Manhattan skyline and which promote the uniqueness of the agency and reflect upon the client’s luxury amenities.
