The
project is composed of two entities.
The
wooden structure of which it is constituted is entirely covered in housing
struts for wooden tile facings; the early-learning activities centre is
covered with a multi-coloured façade.
The
general shape and choice of materials is inspired by vernacular architecture
and interprets contemporary styles, like a typical Swiss Alps architecture
entering the 21st century.
This
project would equally like to be seen as a pilot scheme in terms of sustainable
development: the impact of its construction on the environment is
minimum, losses limited, materials and energy sources used are all renewable,
and rainwater is retrieved.
