The ruin of this former hunting lodge was converted and extended into a single family home. The footprint of the existing construction was restored in its classic shape and volume. Contrasting steel constructions were added to enlarge the living areas. The concept of the new steel construction was to “frame” the beautiful vast landscapes surrounding the house as framed pictures that invite nature into the interior, hence the large sliding windows that fill the steel construction at both ends of the house (entrance porch and kitchen/dining area).
