A completely new house was built to meet the needs of the family, which had grown.
The small lot had to accommodate a broad and varied program, so the design proposed a four-level vertical house, with a semi-basement containing parking spaces and areas such as a wine cellar and a home theater. The social area includes a swimming pool, terrace, and garden, while the private area is arranged across the two upper levels. The house is connected by a large staircase serving all levels, with a central void left in place to allow for the future incorporation of an elevator or dumbwaiter, should the family ever need one.
Another key decision in the design of the new house was to take advantage of its privileged location on a beautiful corner lot, facing both the street and a passageway, with a nearby park. As a result, both façades make the most of the pleasant surroundings, with views full of greenery. The relationship with the outdoors does not end there, and this is, in fact, another of the project’s most relevant aspects.
