The shape of this single-family house was derived from its context: toward the backyard, the width of the plot reduces, and so does the floor plan. Slope and direction of the roof ridge were modeled by carefully looking at the adjacent houses. The result is a volume that fits perfectly in its built surroundings, as well as stands out from them. This surprising and unique combination was also used in the materials: the bricks used for the façades are similar in color and size but sharper and hence more expressive.
A central void organizes the floor plans.
