The building results by the aim of the couple to alter the way of lifestyle and location after the children are grown up and moved out. The estate is located in a rural village near of the lake "Wörthersee" which became a part of the city during the time in cause of urban expansion. The estate isn’t visible by the street area and is only accessible by a narrow, lightly rising access road.
Because of the existing hillside, the surrounding buildings and the vegetation, it was decided to bring the principal floor on top, to achieve a great panorama view over the city and the present mountains in all of the rooms by using a generous glazing facade.
The ground floor should contain only a spacious foyer, a small separable apartment and a garage place.
The open living room in the first top was added with a spacious patio which is open in the southern direction. Over a few steps which are located on the west side, it leads into the split-level garden and from southeast it goes over in a boardwalk which is in front of the separate living areas. Each living room in the inside are walkable over two ways to ensure the maximum flexibility in the daily use, including to connecting rooms or to be able to create retreat areas. The white color of the building was selected to mediate a Mediterranean feeling in connection with the Pandomo- floor coating in the inside as well as the wooden floor in the patio and the boardwalk in the outside.
The flat roof is extensive planted which harmonized with the building and let it be inconspicuous between the surroundings.
