"House OV1" is a project created with the system "Modular Building Construction" and represents the new ways of creating freeform wooden buildings.
In the project was used a construction of modules made of gratings from plywood.
These gratings can be loaded with enormous load which could be from snow or wind. The construction is extremely strong and light, because all elements has very thin section with thickness 38mm.
The great advantage of this system is that it is modular system and on the same time it is extremely adjustable to desires of the owners and architects. Through it could be created buildings with different form which could be orthogonal , oval or any other form which could imagination of the architect express.
In the project were used dark metal sheet cover which accumulates passive energy to the balance of the house. The insulation is 300mm stone wool insulation and is placed around inner volume of the space. The air gaps in the construction could be used for installations or laying of the electrical cables leaving the inner surface free of them. The interior cover of the walls is from 19mm plywood and gypsum board for fire protection.
In the interior was used furniture with different colors contrasting to the mild brown floor and wooden windows. The windows are placed in window- and door boxes with round corners, which are prefabricated and installed into the volume of the building.
The whole house could be delivered by helicopter and installed in two days. The strength of the construction can make that possible.
This project show how the investors and builders could gain flexibility and saving money by using this superior system.
