House of Doubles is a 6000 sqft duplex apartment in Hyderabad, born from the transformation of two vertically stacked 4BHK units into one cohesive 5BHK home. Designed by Studio Itiara, the project is a study in duality of scale, mood, material and design language.
The home embraces contrast as a design tool; neo-classical elements transition into contemporary designs, saturated colours meet neutral tones, soft curves balance crisp edges, and private nooks coexist with open volumes. A short-height partition at the entrance introduces a rhythm of reveal, offering filtered sight lines into the living and work areas.
Every room carries its own mood, some saturated and energetic, others soft and grounded but keeping transitions feeling seamless. Custom furniture, concealed storage, and intuitive planning reflect the studio’s attention to how people move, pause, and live.
While the structure reflects a literal doubling, the design unifies it with intentional layering which is spatial, visual, and emotional.
House of Doubles doesn’t aim for quiet restraint, but it commands attention and rewards it.
