Within a housing development north of the city of Aguascalientes, on a 431 m2 plot, O+A is located. A single-family residence with a program for a client who was looking for ample living spaces that coexist with the exterior spaces filled with plentiful vegetation.
The transition between the exterior and interior is responsible for generating sensations and giving qualities to the spaces. From the outside, a solid, hermetic façade is perceived, with a large block of chukum on a natural stone base. But inside this changes and the house expands visually.
A clear distribution is achieved where the public and social areas are directly connected and oriented towards the garden, creating a feeling of spaciousness and visual openness. While the private areas are isolated from the social areas to guarantee privacy.
A careful selection of natural materials was made, which change with time and climate. Chukum, natural stone, and wood are the protagonists, creating a coherent visual language, and a feeling of warmth.
