This residence reinterprets traditional materiality through a modern lens, using exposed brickwork framed by textured cement plaster to strike a balance between raw expression and clean geometry. Located in a dense urban fabric, the facade is intentionally bold yet restrained—emphasizing horizontal and vertical lines through a strategic use of concrete bands and sleek aluminum-framed windows. The red brick cladding adds warmth and familiarity, contrasting the cool-toned textures surrounding it. Thoughtful lighting design enhances the architectural details during nighttime, while vertical fins and a timber-clad soffit add rhythm and depth to the elevation. The design celebrates a contemporary aesthetic with vernacular sensibilities, offering a timeless street presence.
The facade of the project showcases a harmonious blend of materials that emphasize both texture and modern aesthetics. Handcrafted red clay bricks laid in a horizontal stack bond pattern bring warmth and character, while grey textured cement plaster bands provide a bold contrast with their raw, troweled finish. Sleek, powder-coated aluminum window frames support expansive glass panels, contributing to the contemporary look and ensuring ample natural light. At the ground level, vertical metal louvers add privacy and rhythm to the elevation. Accents of wood-finish soffit panels beneath the cantilevered slabs introduce a natural warmth, balancing the harder materials. Subtle yet effective LED lighting enhances the architectural lines, highlighting the brickwork and structural features after dark.
