The construction of a home for a young family is an opportunity to learn, meet and make a path together.
So it was with the owners of this house close to the center of Forlì town.
The need to live the house along with 4 children and to the many friends, along with the desire to have a flexible and practical space to be used in different spatial and temporal configurations, has created a simple building, innovative and open to the external environment. The building is divided in two levels and a basement and is characterized by the physical and perceptive relationship between inside and outside the home.
On the ground floor there is the living area, consisting of one space declined in several areas: where to meet, to cook, to speak, to study or to see a movie together.
The spatial continuity is ensured by the central location of the ladder that allows continuous of uninterrupted space exploration. The positioning of the large openings floor to ceiling connects the interior to the garden allowing physical and perceptive crossings continuity.
Bedrooms are upstairs, at the first level.
The three bedrooms are home to the large family and a shared central room allows to create a space dedicated to children enabling future use for a further bedroom. The large openings and terraces connect perceptually the house to the garden and the nearby park.
Large anodized aluminum sliding panels allow to obscure or to shield the solar radiation, while ensuring the privacy, comfort and safety. The house, built with load-bearing structure of reinforced concrete and curtain walls in brick thermal insulation with external thermal insulation, is certified in energy class A.
The autonomous heat generator plant for space heating and for producing sanitary hot water is a high efficiency heat pump supported by a photovoltaic system equipped with electric storage to optimize energy consumption.
Heating and cooling systems for buildings is through floor radiant panels in the main area and radiators in secondary rooms. The unit is equipped with temperature control system with the flow temperature compensation function based on the outside temperature.
