HOUSE LUCERNA.
The property is located in La Caleta, a park neighborhood of the Atlantic coast, 25 kilometers north of the city of Mar del Plata.
The premise is to take advantage of the relationship with a privileged environment, so the visual becomes the main objective of
the project. Analyzing how the landscape is perceived from the house and how it is viewed from the park, is one of the
requirements defined by the study
Stages
In order to meet the needs of a young family that will grow with the passage of time, the house was designed to be built in two
stages. The steps of the house, were designed so that the ground floor (first stage) operate independently of its future growth.
Thus, the expansion work should not disrupt the lives of the owners. The second stage was built funded by a national credit
(Pro.cre.ar).
Morphology
From these premises housing is formed by two overlapping rectangular prisms, creating an "L" type. Maximizing the green
landscape and sunlight in the public areas of the house. The first stage contains the social areas of the house; room, kitchen
and dining room, all with direct connection to the park through large windows and gaps between the house and the garden. An
example of this is the gallery that ensures continuity between the kitchen, the area of the grill and the park. It also has a
bathroom, a laundry room and bedroom which then becomes a study.
In the second stage, a transverse rectangular prism is added. It has a bathroom, two bedrooms and staircase that connects
the ground floor by a glazed hall. The intersection of both volumes generated an access and covered parking for two cars, and
a terrace above the social sector.
Game of light and shadows.
The depth of the facade allows sunlight control in each room, filtering and restricting it in the most exposed facades (northeast
and northwest) and allowing access to the southeast and southwest facades.
The different windows, flat or deep, show the thickness of the facade and generate pictures that frame the landscape from
inside, this effect is accentuated from the contrast between the depth of the white wall, and the slender black carpentry.
