The single-family house is located on the edge of a small single-family house settlement, which ends in front of the woods. With its living spaces the house opens towards nature, away from the neighboring buildings. From the road it has a more closed character, while the outdoor terrace opens onto the outdoor pool and surrounding trees.
The house has two floors and has a clean rectangular shape. The ground floor is L-shaped, while the upper floor is rectangular and overhangs the lower floor. The large glazing on the ground floor links to the outdoor pool and canopies with summer kitchen, while the street side of the building is more closed. The upper floor has a different principle, which can already be seen from the facade cladding itself and the sequence of large glazing, which further emphasizes the design’s horizontal division.
The interior spaces are open and airy, the central staircase is placed against a large glass wall and acts as a central space leading to different rooms on both floors. The layout of the rooms allows the family to spend a lot of time together, but it also allows the members to retreat to their individual spaces to rest and work.
