House K is a wooden house designed for a friends. It is carefully placed on sloping forest, to the edge of nature and build environment. The openings are motivated for the views what were carefully studied to frame the nature.
The typology is a split-level where the entry, bedrooms, utility rooms, sauna and library corridor are on two stories, when the one level up houses kitchen and dining in a more sculptural and spacious manner. Living room is it own intimate space as an additive pavilion towards courtyard and the pine tree forest.
A Timber house made of CLT (Cross laminated timber). The house is done in a close collaboration with Finnish wooden industry, Crosslam.
House K combines both the latest technology of the wooden industry and the cultural knowledge of the craftsmanship.
