Contemporary Bioclimatic House in Las Lomas, Madrid. Luxury hillside residence integrated into the landscape
Located in Las Lomas, Boadilla del Monte, one of the most exclusive residential areas in Madrid, this contemporary luxury house is conceived as a natural extension of its sloping east–west plot.
The project transforms the topography into a sequence of landscaped terraces and precise volumes that establish a balanced dialogue between architecture and landscape.
The house is structured around a clear and functional layout. A main living volume accommodates the living room, dining area, and kitchen, conceived as a continuous and open space. Large floor-to-ceiling glazing dissolves the boundary between interior and exterior, extending the domestic life towards the private garden and framing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Access is defined by a gradual ascent through a landscaped forecourt, reinforcing the relationship between architecture and terrain. At the center of the plan, an internal courtyard introduces natural light and organizes the program, separating day and night areas while ensuring spatial clarity and privacy.
On the upper level, a carefully proportioned cantilevered volume houses a study overlooking the site. This element consolidates the architectural identity of the villa and reinforces its horizontal composition.
The strategic placement of openings, pergolas, and overhangs responds to the principles of bioclimatic architecture. Passive solar control, cross ventilation, and optimized orientation enhance energy efficiency and environmental performance, aligning the project with contemporary sustainable residential design.
This high-end single-family residence embodies the values of contemporary architecture in Spain: integration with the landscape, material precision, controlled natural light, and spatial serenity. A luxury home designed to balance privacy, openness, and environmental responsibility within one of Madrid’s most sought-after developments.
