This two-story single-family house was built in Náchod, Czech Republic. It was built into a slope and the arrangement of individual parts of the building was carefully thought out to optimally use the terrain. The resulting functional and spatial form of the building serves the convenience of the residents, but also gives it a monumental shape.
The main entrance and garage entrance are located at the bottom of the slope, providing easy access to the house and minimizing the visibility of vehicles from the residential part. This solution works especially well in the case of a garage that can accommodate three cars, giving residents convenient parking and protecting the entrance area from rain.
The lower floor, i.e. the basement, contains a dressing room, a warehouse, an additional bathroom and a garage. Thanks to this practical arrangement, the unique functionality of the house is ensured. The wardrobe allows you to organize clothes and accessories, and the warehouse is a perfect place to store seasonal items. An additional bathroom on this floor is convenient, especially after returning from the garden or after working in the garage.
The upper floor is the living area, divided into a day and night area. The open space with the kitchen, living room and dining room promotes the integration of residents and introduces plenty of natural light into the interior. The exit from the living room to the garden on the higher part of the slope creates a smooth transition between indoors and outdoors, which is perfect for relaxing and spending time outdoors.
The night part focuses on bedrooms, bathrooms and dressing rooms. The arrangement of the bedrooms ensures privacy and a good night's sleep for the residents, and the bathrooms are designed in a modern way, ensuring comfort. Wardrobes make it easier to organize clothes and accessories, which is important in everyday life.
The shape of the building consisting of heavy forms, cubic shapes, interpenetrating each other, gives the building a modern look, while maintaining consistency with the surroundings.
This place combines practicality and aesthetics, and the carefully designed arrangement of parts of the building is a response to the everyday needs of residents.
