Can there be something more pleasant than to sit down in a comfortable chair, with a favorite book in hand and listen to the crackling fire in the fireplace? What if this was accompanied by a view of the uninterrupted mountain nature? Check how our interiors suggest in our proposal in the mountains. Like the seemingly contradictory warmth of the family home interior and the harsh mountain landscape, they create a harmonious atmosphere of comfort and safety.
"House in forest" is located in Krynica-Zdrój, in the Małopolska province.
The sloping roof and wooden finish of the façade refer to traditional forms of regional construction.
The main idea was to create a house with a simple and functional form, which in a minimally invasive way fits into the landscape. The part of the roof intended for the green terrace was shaped in such a way that together with the slope of the hill they formed one consistent level. Such forming of a green roof together with significant glazing ensures mutual interpenetration of the interior and exterior and guarantees close contact between residents and nature.
The interior solution is designed to create a cozy and family atmosphere. The building was designed in a small space, which in a natural way allowed to focus the interior layout on contacts with the family. The house has its own two-level library, which leads to the green terrace of the building. On the ground floor, there is an open kitchen, dining room and living room with a study room, while the floor fulfills the basic function that every house should have. The element joining both floors is a fireplace enclosed with warm material - wood.
By using the materials and form in a natural way, the house corresponds with the mountainous landscape.
