Architect Maria Filardo provided interior design and colour consultations for this property. The clients wanted a simple and practical interior, the main focus was on fine details, natural finishes and most importantly the use of local suppliers and craftsman.
The pre-existing house was demolished but the clients salvaged timber beams, joinery doors, lights and door hard ware. Joinery, furniture and walls finishes were designed around the re-use of what was salvaged and retained. Brick, timber and re-constituted stone dominated the palette.
