The design for House F emerges from a consciously bespoke approach to spatial composition. Given the singularity of the context, the building’s remarkable architectural quality, and its prestigious location within the historic centre of Conegliano, the only viable path was one grounded in meticulous attention to detail and finish. Every design solution is, in this sense, precisely tailored to enhance each aspect of the home to its fullest potential.
Guided by a clear intent to improve the existing conditions, the intervention proceeds through a series of measured steps, reimagining each space through a comprehensive and multidisciplinary lens—attentive to form, materiality, and light.
The entrance has been reconfigured through the introduction of a custom-designed boiserie system incorporating a wardrobe, a built-in bench, and open storage compartments. The existing partition between kitchen and living area is radically reinterpreted: in place of the former wall with its central opening, a series of sliding panels is introduced. Composed of glass and aluminium slats, these panels offer a highly flexible solution, allowing for partial or full opening and closure while generating a nuanced interplay of transparency and screening between the two day spaces. To ensure seamless integration between the sliding panels and the boiserie, both module widths and handle heights are maintained consistently throughout.
The kitchen has been entirely redesigned around a ceramic island that integrates both the cooktop and a counter for informal dining. The full-height cabinetry is recessed into a niche and finished in continuity with the living area’s boiserie. Both bathrooms have likewise been recalibrated at the design stage: while preserving the existing sanitary layout, bespoke solutions have been developed to transform them into fully functional spaces, harmoniously aligned with the overall character of the apartment.
