Single residential house situated on a steep slope in an established residential neighborhood overlooking the South African capital city of Pretoria. Glass skin northern facades afford sunlight to penetrate interior spaces and affording unobstructed views. It is a three level house with main open plan living areas on ground floor, opening onto a covered outside entertainment area with pool. The private en-suite bedrooms wing is on first floor, and the lower ground floor consists of a studio. External finishes are a blend of smooth and textured plaster, and smooth exposed concrete. Concrete overhangs also provide sun protection for the large glass surfaces.
The garden is landscaped with indigenous South African plants. Energy efficiency is provided through double glazing, solar power and insulated walls and floors. All rainwater is captured in rainwater tanks.
