Private house with two residential units built for a client with a small oldtimer collection. The client´s flat at the top floor has access from a common entry hall at the groundfloor. The form of the building is derived from the maximum buildable area, built aroud a central core that comprises of technical facilities at the basement, a garage for the client´s "favourite car" at ground floor and an glased atrium at the top floor. Two covered balkonies, each adjacently offset along the corner edge of the buildung are placed to provide best view and acoustic privacy at the same time. For privacy reasons, the facade towards the street side is kept rather massive, as well as the provision of aluminium shutters to prevent from unfiltered visual insight into the atrium and balkonies.
