In the country side of Berkel-Enschot, a little village near the city of Tilburg, a house dating from the 1960's has been completely stripped down en rebuilt. The open living area has a built-in work space under the roof, which together with the big light gives a special spatial feel to the room. The roof light diviedes the house in two, the living area and the sleeping area. This is being expressed by the brick wall, which goes from the front to the back and unites the inside with the outside of the house. The stone house is isolated on the outside, giving the expression of an cool white contemporary look in the countryside.
