This house sit on a tiny site that has the only approximately 4 meters width, facing the narrow road on the south side.
In this crowded dwelling area of the small city block, this house faces the neighbor buildings built close to the site boundary around this house on the three directions except the south road side.
It was inserted in a target to reserve the maximum useful living space for the family in the limited site.
An overall frame was provided that include the three layers of space that have the area of the building coverage very limit and each different ceiling height according to the require.
The surplus area over building volume limit was solved, by being replaced to the void over the dining space and being replaced to the outside multi-purpose porch on the ground floor, as factors to bring an expanse in the interior space.
Then, in this surrounded environment, in order to be able to get a level of amenity for dwellers, we set the top light windows on the north side of the roof above the void over the dining kitchen space.
As the result, the top light windows offer the sufficient natural light to the depth in the north side of the house and offer the natural ventilation whole of the building utilizing the temperature difference between the upper and lower air.
And we tried to create fluidity of the internal space by providing the openings toward the various directions, and providing the floors as continuous elements to the spiral staircase.
The dynamism accompanied by the mixture of horizontal direction and vertical direction in the interior space of this house resulted to unique enjoyable sequence and spacious barrier-free feeling.
