The house is integrated in a group of construction plots that winds through a secondary connection of the Estrada Regional that connects the South and the North of the São Miguel Island.
The plot has a strong connection with its surroundings, allowing the property to take on a controlled openness, taking advantage of the dense forest to the North and its sunny orientation.
The slope of access to the road allowed there to be a basement floor, enabling car access with a carport, and access to the inside of the house and all of its services (utility room, drying rack) and a small study.
A patio extends from the basement to the first floor, organising both the social area of the house, sitting room, kitchen and hall, which open to the centre of the property; as well as a more private area with bedroom, suites and bathrooms which develop around the property and open to the outside through openings and terraces.
With a white finish, the house’s language expresses a purified air, concealing itself within the group of constructions, in which each asserts and contrasts itself through its own strong identity.
