Located in a typical Portuguese rural landscape
and just 60 km west of Faro Airport, Vale del Rei Suite & Village
Resort is near the village of Carvoeiro, south of Lagoa on the way to
the famous Marinha beach. Surrounded by flourishing vineyards, and
endless stretches of Atlantic coastline, this is a unique place where
nature imposes a slower pace of life.
This is a transformation project in which we re-designed the hotel
rooms, part of the pool restaurant area and the surrounding gardens. The
concept of this transformation can be found in the presentation book
below.
Our target was to design 55 four-star hotel rooms
from the existing self-supporting 35 suites. For these rooms we used
colour, wallpaper patterns, and printed images on canvass to evoke the
essence of stunning atmospheric Portugal.
The whole process took three months to conclude and met the given budget.
A tranquil atmosphere, supreme comfort and
authentic Algarvean hospitality ensure that each visitor now enjoys a
genuine "home from home" experience.
