The building site is located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, on the former customs area of the hall Pajol. The building itself was conceived as a simple monolithic body with a mineral-glassy surface, referring to the classic typology of Paris’ Hôtels Industriels from the 1930s. One side of the solitary volume is facing the newly developed park. The interior serves the accommodation of small and midsize enterprises; therefore, the floors are designed as free “plateaus” offering the possibility to create either open-space offices or typical singular offices with corridors.
With about 16,000 square feet of usable floor space, it is the first office building constructed in inner-city Paris to respond to the BBC® certificate requirements. The project guarantees the monitoring of future energy consumption, the compensation of the carbon emissions produced during its construction by CO² certificates, and compliance with the HQE® label requirements.
