This project envisaged the reconstruction of a
building of scarse architectural interest located on the waterfront, in one of
the of most highly valued landscape zones of Trieste's stretch of coast, in
the district of Barcola.
The work consisted in reconstructing the existing
building (as foreseen by the Regulations of PRGC
[Master Plan of Trieste]) with the preservation of most of the external
wall, the preservation of the foundation area and the existing volumetry.
Particularly the internal redistribution of the spaces, the realization of new
door and window holes correspondent and congruent to internal functions, and
the substitution of the roof were envisaged.
A new small hotel (14 rooms) was built to complete
the fifth building of the area. Teak, stainless steel, white civil plaster,
characterize the premises facing the
blue of the Adriatic Sea.
