Situated on the waterfront of Lake Anna in central Virginia, this resort introduces 160 luxury condos and hotel rooms to this regional destination, providing extensive indoor amenities and outdoor recreation. The site’s entry guides residents through lush gardens and athletic courts, masterfully camouflaging
parking and boat storage to create a more domestic experience. The transparency of the ground floor pulls residents through an elegant timber lobby to the lakeside terrace, where they are greeted by expansive communal gardens and walking trails. With over 700 feet of lakefront, the site offers plentiful beach access as well as a pool terrace, putting green, and boat dock. Architecturally, the building’s rhythm mimics the shimmering qualities of water, its wood-clad facades curving with the shoreline to create a large-scale intervention that is both responsive and respectful to its surroundings.
