In the Virreyes Tower, located in Lomas de Chapultepec, one of Mexico's most prestigious neighborhoods, we designed a high-end hotel with 22 suites and 4 master suites. The brief was to create a unique and luxurious hotel that would stand out from the competition due to its prime location, layout, suite size, finishes, and furnishings.
The suite boasts a generously sized ceiling, and the bathroom is integrated as a curved glass panel open to the room, allowing guests to enjoy the surrounding views. When privacy is desired, a heavy, electrically operated fabric curtain can be drawn to completely enclose the bathroom.
For the finishes, we used Brazilian blue quartzite, cladding all the bathrooms and the entire entrance floor. The rest of the room features European oak flooring with a design based on small, interlocking pieces. The walls are made of dark African ebony wood, which contrasts beautifully with the blue quartzite.
All the furniture, both in the rooms and public areas, is Italian, from Poltrona Frau, and the wardrobes and built-in cabinets are by Rimadesio.
The entire art collection for the hotel was curated by Nicole Badine, featuring black and white photographs by various artists. Large-scale works are displayed in the main circulation areas, connecting them to pieces within the guest rooms.
The selection of accessories, linens, and decor, down to the smallest detail, was meticulously curated with high-quality products by Lorena Daniel and Linda Masri.
